Set of three natural A Pedra Das Meigas BL-120 sharpening stones, 24x7x3 cm, supplied in a blister. For water sharpening.
Sharpening on these natural stones gives outstanding results, with perfectly graded grits. The kit is made up of the coarse-grinding (700), refining (1200) and polishing (4000, estimated) grits. Each stone is marked with the role it plays within the set. The stone sizes are ideal for sharpening knives, pocket knives and carpentry tools, in both carbon and stainless steels.
Always sharpen with water — never with oil.
These are natural stones and must be used wet, with water, never oil: oil would clog them and, over time, render them unusable.
How to use
Place the non-slip base on your workbench and the stone on top of it, then run the knife or cutting tool across the stone. The thickness of the stone keeps your handle and fingers clear as they glide over it.
Tip
To extend the life of the stones, use the edges for the coarsest work and then refine the edge more precisely on the flat faces.
Maintenance
Simply let the sharpening stones dry after use and store them in their original packaging.
Resurfacing the faces
Place a sheet of coarse-grit sandpaper (for example 40/60) on a flat surface and slide the stone over it, wet, with water.

Un 10 para Cuchillalia!
La gestión telefónica con Alan fue excelente. Agradezco su amabilidad y toda la información facilitada para poder aclarar mis dudas y realizar el pedido.
El envío muy rápido y los productos perfectamente protegidos y empaquetados. La caja de cartón le ha dado mucho juego a mi gato.
Respecto a las piedras, estas son mis sensaciones tras unas semanas de uso:
Comparando con diversas piedras artificiales, las Meigas me han parecido más lentas y mucho más duras.
El tamaño extra se agradece y tienen un peso importante.
La 1200 me parece una piedra excesivamente dura y la sensación durante el afilado me recuerda más a una piedra para pulir. Mi pieza es algo peculiar, ya que algunas zonas son más abrasivas que otras. Lo que no me ha gustado es la aparición de brillos tras pocos afilados en las zonas menos abrasivas. Tiene fácil solución con otra piedra o lija de grit 80/120.
La 4000 me parece una piedra excelente, es muy suave y deja un pulido perfecto. El color es precioso.
He probado las piedras con varios cuchillos de acero inoxidable y otros artesanales de acero al carbono. Óptimos resultados de corte en ambos aceros. Me falta probar con aceros VG-10 y SG2.
Otro dato positivo a comentar es que no necesitan mucha agua durante el afilado y que secan muy rápido tras su uso.
Son buenas piedras para iniciarse en el afilado y parece que van a durar muchísimo. Muy buen precio por su gran tamaño.
Sin duda la mejor del pack es la de pulir. La de afilar no me convence. La de vaciar no la he usado.

Aunque aún soy novato en este campo, debo decir que son fáciles de usar y con resultados magníficos sobre los cuchillos.
