Description
The brown polyethylene cutting board is the most robust option in our made-to-measure range, designed for anyone who cuts hard, every day. We make it in the dimensions you need and in thicknesses of up to 5 cm, so in its thickest formats it is a genuine butcher’s block: a solid surface that withstands the most demanding work without shifting.
It is made of high-density polyethylene (PE-500), the benchmark material in professional kitchens: it resists cuts without splintering, does not absorb liquids or odours and withstands heavy washing. The brown tone, moreover, hides the marks of continuous use very well, so it keeps looking good even after a lot of work.
Why choose the custom-size brown cutting board?
Because it is designed for heavy-duty cutting: butcher’s shops, workshops and professional kitchens where the board takes hard knocks every day. With a good thickness it gains stability and absorbs the knife’s impact better, and being made to your measurements it fits your butchering table or workstation. It’s also a practical choice at home if you want a hard-wearing board that lasts for years.
Thickness and sturdiness for professional use
The thicker it is, the more solid and durable the board. The most popular configuration in brown is 45×45 or 50×50 cm with 5 cm thickness and no feet, a large, solid surface ideal for butchering and heavy cutting. If you’re looking for another size or a special format, ask us for a no-obligation price using the form, and you’ll find the rest of the options in our cutting boards category.

Optional non-slip feet
If you want the board to sit firmly on the worktop, you can add non-slip feet: small rubber pads at the corners that stop it moving while you cut. This is entirely optional, but remember to choose it when you place the order, because fitting them means drilling the base of the board and they cannot be added later. Bear in mind that, with the feet fitted, you will work on one side only; without them, the board is reversible and you can flip it over when one side gets heavily worn.
Need a special size?
The boards on this page are made in a range of standard sizes that you add straight to the cart. If the size you need isn’t among them — because you need an in-between size or an especially large board — we can make it to almost any measurement, in whatever colour you need, with or without feet and from 10 to 100 mm thick (subject to availability).

Terms for made-to-measure orders
As this is a made-to-order product, please note the following terms:
- Shipping to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands only.
- Approximate dispatch time: 3-6 days from payment confirmation, depending on the factory workload.
- Check all measurements carefully before confirming: as this is a made-to-measure product, returns are not accepted except for an error on our part in the measurement.
- Cash on delivery is not accepted.
- Due to handling, the board may show a small mark of another colour or a slight scratch. This is uncommon and, as these are industrial hospitality boards, does not affect their function nor is it grounds for return.
- The actual colour may vary slightly from the photo, which shows several sizes for illustration: you will receive a single board in the size you choose.
Custom-size cutting boards in other colours
The colour code helps to avoid cross-contamination in the kitchen. If you’d like to complete your set, you have this same made-to-measure board in white, red, green, blue, yellow and black.
How to renew your polyethylene board’s surface
With use, polyethylene boards build up cuts and small grooves where dirt can lodge. When you notice the surface is heavily marked, there’s no need to throw it away: you can easily restore it with a scraper for polyethylene boards, a cheap and effective way to keep it hygienic.
