Description
Set of three natural A Pedra Das Meigas BL-120 sharpening stones, 24x7x3 cm, supplied in a blister. For water sharpening.
Sharpening on these natural stones gives outstanding results, with perfectly graded grits. The kit is made up of the coarse-grinding (700), refining (1200) and polishing (4000, estimated) grits. Each stone is marked with the role it plays within the set. The stone sizes are ideal for sharpening knives, pocket knives and carpentry tools, in both carbon and stainless steels.
Always sharpen with water — never with oil.
These are natural stones and must be used wet, with water, never oil: oil would clog them and, over time, render them unusable.
How to use
Place the non-slip base on your workbench and the stone on top of it, then run the knife or cutting tool across the stone. The thickness of the stone keeps your handle and fingers clear as they glide over it.
Tip
To extend the life of the stones, use the edges for the coarsest work and then refine the edge more precisely on the flat faces.
Maintenance
Simply let the sharpening stones dry after use and store them in their original packaging.
Resurfacing the faces
Place a sheet of coarse-grit sandpaper (for example 40/60) on a flat surface and slide the stone over it, wet, with water.

Accessories for sharpening knives with stones
To sharpen more comfortably with your natural stones, we recommend the Wüsthof non-slip rubber base: its shape and size keep the work surface cleaner by collecting the water inside the base.
For flattening the stones, needed every so often, we stock the following flattening stones:
