Leather strop set for knives with a wooden handle, made in Japan by KAI.
Polishing paste: For optimal polishing, the leather should be rubbed with the polishing paste before use. Apply the paste with your fingers and spread it evenly. Leave to dry for 5 minutes. After the first base application, the polishing paste will not need reapplying until necessary, as this first coat is very effective and long-lasting.
Leather: The angle of the passes over the leather is the same as for sharpening on stones. Pass the knife over the leather several times against the cutting direction, with light pressure, and switch sides. Each side of the knife or pocketknife should be passed 10 to 12 times.
