3-step knife sharpener – Instructions

For safety, it is very important to follow the steps exactly as shown. The first thing to bear in mind is that the sharpener must sit on a flat surface, held firmly with one hand, with the knife held by the handle in the other hand.

Step 1: Diamond-coated disc for coarse sharpening

• This step is needed to smooth out the knife edge if it has any small nicks.
• Slide the knife as shown in the picture, with light pressure on the edge.

Step 2: Diamond-coated disc for medium sharpening

• This step should only be used if the knife is very blunt.
• Slide the knife blade through the discs as shown, pressing lightly. Repeat until the blade regains its edge.

Step 3: Fine sharpening

• To remove the burrs from step 2, slide the blade edge through the ceramic discs without pressing. Repeat until the edge is set.
• To maintain the edge, do only this last step every few days.

Washing

• Wash the knife
• Wash the sharpener as shown in the picture.

Important

Not suitable for serrated-edge knives (bread knives, steak knives, etc.).
