Description
The Artelegno beech cutting board is a practical, good-looking board for everyday cooking. Made in Italy from solid beech, with a handy 40×25 cm surface and 2.5 cm of thickness, it gives you a comfortable space to chop vegetables, slice bread or prep ingredients, and it doubles nicely as a serving board.
Beech is a hard, pale, close-grained timber that is tough and very kind to your knife edges. It is finished with a food-safe oil that gives it a smooth feel and good protection against water and stains. As it is natural wood, every board has a unique grain.
Why choose the Artelegno beech cutting board?
Artelegno is an Italian maker specialised in solid-wood boards, part of its Siena collection. This is the larger of its two beech boards: if you want a more compact size for small tasks and serving, there is the 30×20 cm beech cutting board. To keep it in shape, wash it by hand and feed it now and then with a little food-grade oil.

A note on use
When you use the cutting board with knives, they will leave marks on the surface. This is normal, and it is precisely what helps keep your knife edges in good shape.
